Our activities and associative news are always available to all members, to stay updated.
This is the place that collects news, activities and news on everything that revolves around the GECA world. A section dedicated to members who will be able to review the highlights of GECA’s growth path, and to users who are eager to discover the profound commitment that our volunteers put into the various forms of support and participation every day, to learn more and inform about diseases arrhythmogenic.
Sudden cardiac death: in Padua “healthy heart” cases are studied to save more and more young people
About a third of sudden cardiac deaths affect young and apparently healthy people, whose hearts are structurally intact and free of visible anomalies. A worrying phenomenon that has pushed the University Hospital of Padua, for decades a national reference center for the study and prevention of these dramatic events, to focus on the most hidden causes of these deaths.

Once again this year, Nursing students are collaborating with GECA Onlus on the “Let’s shock the heart” project, aimed at combating sudden cardiac death through the dissemination of automated external defibrillators (AEDs). (more…)
