GECA strives to support its members by offering them someone to talk to and providing psychological support.
Dealing with the disease is a demanding personal challenge that requires new resources and renewed energy.
The Association provides:
- A place for psychological counselling in order to understand and define the difficulties experienced by individuals, couples and families and provide them with the tools they need to cope with the situation.
- A place for psychological support, intended as help in dealing with critical situations by acquiring a greater awareness of one’s personal resources and those within the couple/family.
- A place in which to undertake an individual/ couple/ family psychotherapy programme, in order to develop new and more functional ways of coping with the situation in order to achieve greater psychological wellness.
- It is also possible to take part in individual or group autogenic training programmes.
